Crooked Goose Partners with Feeding America: West Michigan

The Crooked Goose is proud to sponsor & partner with Feeding America West Michigan at our VIP event on June 7th. Crooked Goose will donate a portion of all beverage sales at the event & donate the proceeds to the local Grand Rapids food bank. Attendees are also encouraged to donate spare change to help the cause.

Feeding America West Michigan supplies 100,000 families with emergency food. In 2010, with the help of donors and community members, Feeding America West Michigan provided Michigan families with 24.7 million pounds of food at the food bank. When donating, a little bit of help will go a long way to help Michigan children, the elderly and their families get back on their feet.

Below are just a few of the ways you can help out Feeding America West Michigan, to help end hunger in your community:
  • Give Money. Every dollar you can spare for the Food Bank lets us reclaim and distribute enough food for three meals. Just $26 will feed a family of four for a week.
  • Give Time. The Food Bank welcomes—and relies on—volunteers 13 and older (or younger when accompanied by parents or guardians). Volunteers work in our warehouses, at our mobile pantry distributions and even on farms picking produce. They save us tons of money, which goes directly into obtaining more food. And they have tons of fun!
  • Give Food. Join the more than 100 farmers, manufacturers, distributors, grocers and restaurateurswho fight waste and hunger by giving us their edible surplus food. Significant tax deductions and liability coverage apply.
  • Spread the Word. In these tough times, the need for food is growing fast throughout West Michigan, even among hard-working families. Help us keep up by talking up how the Food Bank feeds families by starving landfills
